What should I wear?
Arrive in your everyday clothes. For the session, you will be asked to undress to the level of your comfort. Some people remove everything, some leave on their undergarments. You will be decently covered the whole session with appropriate draping of the sheets and blanket.
How early should I arrive?
If it is your first session with me, please try to arrive ten minutes before your appointment time. This will allow you to fill out health history paperwork so I have a better idea of any injuries or surgeries you may have had. Otherwise, arriving as close to your appointment time is appreciated. I will be able to up to fifteen minutes in advance.
Can I talk during my session?
You can choose to talk as much or as little as you like. You can let your mind wander or have a conversation with me. I will check in with you during the massage to ask about the pressure and your comfort. I may direct your breathing.
What’s the difference between targeted Swedish and deep tissue?
A targeted Swedish massage is a classic Swedish relaxing session with a focus on working out knots and tension. Deep tissue is more pressure with forearms and elbows used on knots. If you’re unsure what type of massage to get, Swedish is the way to go.
What payment methods do you accept?
I prefer cash payments, but I also accept Zelle, Paypal, and Venmo payments.
Should I tip?
Tipping is very appreciated, but it is not expected. I work for myself and earn 100% of my fee, unlike massage therapists in spas or clinics who only earn a percentage or fixed rate. I also truly appreciate heartfelt thanks! If you want to offer gratitude in a non-monetary fashion, a positive Google review is always lovely.
Where are you located?
I am at 601 Guilbeau Rd. in Lafayette. I’m in suite B in an upstairs office space. If stairs are troublesome for you, please let me know in advance – I do have limited access to a downstairs massage space.
